The well known German truck producer Mercedes-Benz also has a wide range of truck cabines. These are classified in the types small (S), middle (M) and large (L). The small type (S) is basically used for short distace vehicles and for car transport trucks. The middle cabine (M) you often find on construction vehicles, tippers and road tankers. The nation and internation transport usually uses the large cabines (L) or even the biggest Mercedes-Benz cab, named Mega Space.

The Swedish truck producer Volvo Trucks classifies its cabs in different types, for exampe the short distance cabines (e.g. Volvo FM / Volvo FL) or long distance cabs (e.g. Volvo F or Volvo FH). For long distances there is the standart type (CAB-SLP / CAB-LSP) or the biggest one, Globetrotter / Globetrotter XL. The hood cabine named Volvo VL is not very common.

Beside of them there are the small cabines of DAF CF and DAF LF without sleeping berth for short distaces.

The French based truck producer Renault Trucks offers, as its`competitiors, a wide range of different trucks with different types of cabines. Trucks for local city transports are Renault Midlum with a short and flat cabine and the for long distances there are Renault Premium and Renault Magnum. The letter differs in interior implementation of Renault Classic, Renault Standart, Renault Privilege, Renault Maximale and Renault Excellence. The Renault Magum only comes with one cab size version and is designed for international transport business.

The Swedisch manufacturer Scania Trucks abbreviate the cabine types of the offered trucks with one or two letters. For example the interior hight of the Scania CP16 cabine is 1.6 meter. In addition Scania trucks offers the types Highline and Topline, optional with one or two sleeper berths. Flat and small Scania cabines (Scania P) are used in the choice of town traffic and construction trucks.

The Italian truck maker Iveco has a lower range of cabine types, compared to other competitors. The trucks of Iveco Eurocargo mostly come with a short and flat cabine, rarely as topsleeper cab with a sleeper berth, as they are usually used in local city transportation.
